The Big Idea: Saving Craft Supplies From The Landfill
Most crafters have supplies that they aren't using but they don't know what to do with them. You could take them to a thrift store, but odds are that they'll end up in the trash if they don't want to deal with the supplies. You could let them sit in your closets and on your shelves taking up space, but then you won't have room for fun, new crafting items. The answer? ReCraft! We are a connection point for crafters. Bring in your unwanted craft supplies, get a coupon for 10% off, and find new-to-you treasures to create something with! Don't have a donation? Come in and shop and see what sparks your creativity. Don't need anything new? Drop off a box or two and feel good knowing that your supplies will be loved and used.
Using stuff that is already here is better for the environment than purchasing items that are newly manufactured. Cutting back on purchasing new and shopping secondhand is a great way to reduce the impact of your crafting. We also have educational signs about the end-life of your craft supplies and encourage people to think about the end life of your art.
ReCraft is a for-profit business, so your donations are *not* tax-deductible. However, the donated inventory allows us to keep prices very low and accessible, and you know that the items will not end up in a landfill somewhere.
